L-Isoleucine is an essential branched-chain amino acid that the body cannot produce on its own. This amino acid is crucial for the synthesis of other amino acids and for building proteins. L-Isoleucine stimulates the release of insulin and promotes the uptake of glucose and other amino acids into muscle cells. During physical activity, especially when glucose reserves in the muscle cells run low during exercise, L-Isoleucine is used for the formation of new glucose via gluconeogenesis (glucose production). The breakdown of L-Isoleucine provides Acetyl-CoA and Propionyl-CoA, important components of human metabolism. L-Isoleucine also activates the growth hormone somatotropin, which has muscle-building properties. Therefore, L-Isoleucine is especially interesting for athletes in strength and endurance training.

Adults: Take up to 1 x 5 level scoops (about 200 mg per scoop) with liquid daily.
