When sucked, the ingredients form a protective, soothing layer over the mucous membranes in the throat and pharynx. This helps protect the irritated mucous membranes from further irritation and allows them to recover more quickly. Isla® cassis is particularly suitable for hoarseness, throat irritation and tickly cough as well as for heavy strain on the voice. The sugar-free throat lozenges also contain vitamin C and natural blackcurrant extract and can be used by adults and children from 4 years of age, provided that children are already able to suck lozenges in a controlled manner.
